UI/UX Designer in Poole | £40k

In agile teams, with developers, UX designers and copywriters – you will be able to make deliberate design decisions and to translate any given user-experience journey into a smooth and intuitive interaction.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to break into the dynamic and fast paced fintech market. This brand-new role offers a competitive salary of circa £40k, remote working options, friendly team atmosphere, based in Poole.

Responsibilities of the UX / UI Designer:

  • Be a great team player with the capacity to rapidly ideate and iterate on designs and concepts
  • Ability to collaborate closely with other business areas such as research and product teams
  • Skill to think on your feet and outside the box, solution focused, creating refreshing and interesting concepts. Must have an excellent understanding of the latest UX/CX/UI best practices on both App and Web and a very good understanding of market trends, insight and industry standards
  • Create, improve and use wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flows, and effectively communicate your interaction ideas using any of these methods
  • Present and defend your design decisions. All your design decisions should be based on the overall product roadmap as well as your own design thinking and fundamental principles (i.e. colour theory, visual weight, etc.)
  • Good grasp and knowledge of Design Systems and be able to work on both App and Web UX/UI
  • Work closely with the CEO, COO and Product Manager to ensure brand guidelines and UX principles are adhered to.

Personal Attributes of the UX / UI Designer:

  • Strong portfolio to be presented during the interview phase
  • Hands-on experience creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, etc
  • Experience using tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Miro, Sketch, Illustrator, InVision
  • Experience designing responsive websites, iOS apps and Android apps
  • Understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3 Javascript
  • Solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns
  • An innovative thinker who can suggest alternative ideas and approaches to improve the creative execution and service
  • Someone who will embrace our ‘work hard, play hard’ culture

  • Someone who is interested in disrupting the financial markets to maintain our competitive advantage.
